Anyone that follows me on twitter know I'm non stop.
Go. Go. Go.
Now here I am trying to take care of myself, and I'm getting flack from all the organization I still belong to.
People need to understand that other people need time for themselves and their families.
Organizations should have vacation policy whether they're paid or volunteer.
No matter how much you love your organization. If you do it every day, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you're going to burn out. Eventually leaving nothing left of yourself for your organization, that you hold to dear.
I guess what I'm trying to say is pace yourself. We're not racing in life to the end. Whoever is the most toys, Facebook likes or tweets is not going to win. We need to cherish what little time we have here. Give of ourselves, but also give time to ourselves.
